Social Work Degree Programs in Arizona

As one of the Four Corners states with Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah, Arizona is positioned in the Southwestern region of the United States. Previously part of the territory Alta California in New Spain, Arizona became the 48th and last of the continental states to be added to the Union in 1912. Arizona is most famous for the Grand Canyon National Park, San Francisco Mountains, ski resort in Flagstaff, Saguaro cactus, Arizona trout, copper production, beautiful red rocks, vast desert landscapes, and scorching hot climate. Despite being the 6th largest and 15th most populous state in America, the following are the only CSWE-accredited Social Work programs within Arizona.

For students who are committed to becoming a professional social work practitioner with advanced roles in clinical practice, planning, administration, or community practice, the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at ASU focuses on training students on the most effective methods of intervention. Although the program has a special emphasis on the diverse populations in the Southwest, MSW students have the freedom to select a concentration. Concentrations include Children, Adolescents, and Family, Health/Behavioral Health with Adults, or Public Child Welfare.
