Two Urban Social Work Programs at UNCC

In January 2013, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte officially passed the decennial in-depth institutional evaluation process by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to keep Level VI accreditation current under its fourth chancellor, Dr. Philip DuBois, who earned the 2014 Leo Lambert Engaged Leader Award. Based 245 miles southwest via Interstate 85 in Decatur, this legitimate 11-state Lower Atlantic accreditor is approved by the U.S. Secretary of Education to judge the quality of UNCC's 78 baccalaureate, 64 master's, and 23 doctoral offerings. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Application Requirements
Enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is classified "moderately difficult" on Peterson's because 10,866 of the 17,518 Fall 2016 applicants were successful for 62 percent acceptance. Prospective BSW Niners must first enter pre-major courses after a secondary or GED diploma. Official admission is reserved for juniors, or fourth-term students, with 60+ college credits graded at least "C." Carrying a 2.5 GPA or better during subjects like Principles of Biology, Introduction to Statistics, and American Politics is mandated. Submitting SAT or ACT scores, which average 1130 and 22 respectively, is optional. The Master of Social Work reviews undergrad preparation and enforces a minimum bachelor's GPA of 3.0. Presenting a 3.5 or better will waive the GRE score requirement in the top 50th percentile. Limited MSW space means that liberal arts prerequisites, high scores, and 2+ years of experience matter.
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte has final undergrad deadlines of June 15th for Fall, December 1st for Spring, and May 1st for Summer.
